Roots Run Deep

This pin was inspired by SCI's Fall Tour 2011 theme, "Roots Run Deep." This is a line from their song, "Restless Wind." The pin is 1.5 inches in size, has 2 pin posts and 4 cut outs. It features a girl hula hooping under a tree as the leaves change color. The girl's legs are roots running deep into the ground. A hidden "SCI" can be seen in the details of the roots. Around her the "autumn chill cuts the air" and "leaves blow through the sky." Along the edge of her skirt is text that reads "Fall Tour 2011." In the background are blackberry bushes with blackberry blossoms, alluding to the Norman Blake song "Blackberry Blossom," one of many great songs covered by SCI.
